WASTED DAYS IN A WASTED LIFE

i guess i caved and let my ego inflate enough to convince myself i should do one of these stupid blogs. this is probably just gonna focus on shit talking and bullshitting about music so if you arent interested in either of those things dont bother wasting your time.
check this out instead http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-D0maLGdSxc

anyways the last couple days have been less miserable than usual because i received awesome packages in the mail that id been waiting on forever. yesterday the QUESTION demo tape and today i finally received the SOCIALCIDE demo with a CDR of the new WASTED TIME and SOCIALCIDE eps. i hardly ever get anything in the mail besides bills so this shit makes my day.

QUESTION is an awesome new-ish band from the Twin Cities with dude from THE AGENDA and the screamer from RESOLVE. i saw them rage in a basement at Nobody's House and they were awesome, even though the PA was fuckin up and you couldnt hear her vox.
im pretty sure at least a couple of these dudes also play in FAGGOT and FRIENDLY.

SOCIALCIDE is a really great band from Richmond that Zach who plays guitar in WASTED TIME sings in. its real primitive shit, hard and punk as fuck, somewhere between SOA and some moshier Boston stuff maybe. they kinda go between snakey midtempo grooves and fast thrash. id say anyone whos into early american hardcore and current attempts at such should check out SOCIALCIDE and WASTED TIME, whos new shit rips even harder than before. it sounds less derivative then their first 7" and has alot of variety, with some slightly melodic elements but mostly it just rips. im sure Brandon of DC/GW/NO WAY RECORDS who replaced their old drummer is partly responsible for the increased pace. i cant wait for these records to come out.

in other news work on the actual zine is going pretty slow, but i have a couple interviews with awesome bands lined up. by the time im actually finished it should be pretty hefty...
